Purpose

Adjust solver relaxation to balance stability and convergence speed.

Steps

Start with Default in Stability control.
If residuals grow or oscillate, inspect the mesh and boundary conditions, then consider Conservative.
Use Aggressive only when the case is stable, and watch residuals, monitored quantities, and balances after the change.

Limitations

Stronger damping can make residuals change very slowly and can mask a stalled solution. A flat residual history alone does not establish convergence. Relaxation cannot correct an invalid setup or poor mesh.
