Purpose

Select how many CPU cores the solver will use.

Steps

  1. Set the CPU/core count in Setup.

  2. Choose a count allowed by the license and suitable for the mesh size, then continue to Solution.

Limitations

  • Demo is limited to one CPU core, Basic to 5, and Pro to 100. The usable count also depends on the available hardware. More cores do not always shorten runtime, especially for small meshes. Setup checks the mesh size against the requested parallelization.
