CFxD is distributed as a standalone Windows installer.
Download
Download the latest installer from the Download page: CFxD-win.exe
Install
- Download CFxD-win.exe.
- Run the installer (confirm the Windows security prompt if shown).
- Follow the installation wizard:
- Keep the default installation folder (recommended).
- Select components:
- CFxD Application — main program
- CFxD Runtime — required libraries and runtime components
- Microsoft MPI — required for multi-core simulations
- Accept the license agreement.
- Click Install and wait for completion.
Launch
After installation, start CFxD from:
- the Start Menu, or
- the desktop shortcut.
First launch
On first launch, CFxD initializes internal folders and settings. The software starts in Demo mode by default. To remove demo limitations, purchase and activate a license from within the application.
System requirements (minimum)
- OS: Windows 10/11 (64-bit)
- Memory: 8 GB RAM (16 GB+ recommended for larger meshes)
- Disk: 2 GB free space
- Graphics: OpenGL-compatible GPU
A multi-core CPU is recommended for faster simulations. - Network: Internet connection is required to validate a license.
