Purpose

Trace the solved velocity field from a selected inlet or outlet surface.

Steps

1. Open Streamlines in Additional features.

   

2. Choose an inlet or outlet under Start from, and enter Number of streams.
3. Optionally enable Animation for moving markers, then click Show.

Inputs and units

Start from	An available inlet or outlet boundary patch.	Patch name
Number of streams	Requested streamline seed count.	Integer, 1–10,000
Animation	Visual marker playback along the streamlines.	On / off

Limitations

• A valid inlet or outlet selection and velocity data are required. Animated markers visualize the field; they are not a time-accurate particle simulation.
